How to Deposit Funds with Wire Transfer

Wire transfer is one of the fastest ways to fund your trading account, and it's a good option for larger or international deposits. It works a bit differently than other funding methods, so this article walks through how it fits together.

How Wire Transfers Work

Unlike other funding methods, a wire transfer can't be sent or initiated from your account dashboard. Instead, MetroTrade provides wire instructions for you to give to your bank, and you request the transfer directly through your bank, either in person or through your bank's online or mobile banking.

Before You Start

  • Wires must come from a bank account held in the same name as your trading account.
  • Business accounts can't be used to fund individual trading accounts.
  • MetroTrade can't accept transfers from third-party payment services like Wise or Revolut.

Viewing Your Wire Transfer Instructions

  1. Click Transfer Funds in the left-hand sidebar.
  2. Select Fund at the top of the page.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and select Wire.
  4. A Wire Transfer Instructions window opens. Select the currency you want to wire in, and your bank details will appear below.
  5. Provide these details to your bank when you request the transfer.

Important: Make sure your wire includes the "Further Credit to" information from your instructions. Leaving this out can delay your deposit.
