This article covers how to modify and cancel orders on the MetroTrade platform. ### **Modifying a Working Order** A working order is a limit or stop order that hasn't been filled yet. You can modify it in two ways: 1. **Drag it on the chart**: Click and drag the order's line to a new price level. Releasing it updates the order to that price. 2. **Edit it in the Orders tab**: Open the Orders tab in the Trades panel and edit the order directly to add a stop-loss or take-profit to it. ### **Adding Protection to a Filled Order (Open Position)** If your order has already filled and you now have an open position, you can still add a stop-loss and take-profit to protect it. There are three ways to do this: 1. **Drag from the position on the chart**: Click and drag up or down from your position's line to create a take-profit or stop-loss at that level. 2. **Use the Positions tab**: Open the Positions tab in the Trades panel. Click into the SL or TP column for your position, type a price, and click the checkmark to confirm. 3. **Place an independent stop or limit order**: Use the right-click chart menu, or place a standalone stop or limit order from the order panel, as covered in earlier articles. This creates a separate order rather than a linked stop-loss or take-profit. ### **Cancelling an Order or Closing a Position** - To cancel a working order, click the **X** next to its line on the chart, or the **X** on that order's row in the Orders tab. - To close an open position, click the **X** next to its line on the chart, or the **X** on that position's row in the Positions tab.
