# Our clearing partners (FCMs)

MetroTrade is an Introducing Broker. That means we introduce customer accounts to a clearing Futures Commission Merchant (FCM). The FCM holds your funds in a segregated customer account and clears your trades on the exchange.

Your FCM handles:

- Custody of your funds
- Trade clearing on the exchange
- Position reconciliation and reporting
- Regulatory reporting to the CFTC and NFA

You can see the FCM associated with your account on your account statements and on our disclosures page. Both MetroTrade and our clearing FCM are subject to CFTC and NFA oversight.

If you’d like to verify the FCM’s registration, you can look it up in the same NFA BASIC tool you’d use to verify MetroTrade.
