Placing and Managing Trades on Mobile
Placing and managing trades on the MetroTrade mobile app works largely the same as it does on the web, using the order panel, drag-and-drop chart interactions, and the Trades tab. This article covers how it comes together on mobile.
Placing an Order
Tap the floating “+” button or the order panel toggle on the chart to open the order panel. It opens as a sheet you can drag between a compact and expanded view.

From there, order placement works the same as on web:
- The same order types are available: Market, Limit, Stop, and Stop Limit, covered in Placing a Market Order, Placing a Limit Order, and Placing a Stop Order.
- One-click trading works the same way, using the lightning bolt icon in the chart toolbar, covered in Trading Directly from the Chart.
- Attaching a stop-loss and take-profit works the same way, using the Stop Loss & Take Profit section of the order panel, covered in Adding Take-Profit and Stop-Loss Orders.
Managing Orders and Positions from the Chart
Drag-and-drop works the same way on mobile as it does on web:
- Drag a working order's line on the chart to reposition it.
- Drag up or down from an open position's line to create a take-profit or stop-loss.
- Tap the X next to any order or position line on the chart to cancel the order or close the position.
This matches the behavior covered in Modifying or Cancelling an Open Order.

Managing Trades from the Trades Tab
The Trades tab includes the same four views as the web: Positions, Orders, Orders History, and Closed Trades.
- Positions: Shows your open positions, along with your total unrealized P&L at the top of the tab. A Close All button lets you close every open position at once.
- Orders: Shows your working orders.
- Orders History and Closed Trades: Review your past orders and completed trades. Covered in more detail in Viewing Your Order & Trade History.
