This article covers what each column means and how to manage a position from this tab. ### **Opening the Positions Tab** 1. Look at the Trades panel along the bottom of the screen. 2. Click the **Positions** tab. ![Screenshot 2026-10-06 130601](https://help.metrotrade.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Screenshot%202026-10-06%20130601.png?width=670&height=259&name=Screenshot%202026-10-06%20130601.png) ### **Reading Your Position** Each row represents one open position, and includes: - **Symbol**: The contract you're holding. - **Side**: Long (bought) or Short (sold). - **Size**: Number of contracts in the position. - **Avg Price**: Your average entry price, if the position was built from more than one fill. - **Cur. Price**: The current market price for the contract. - **UPL**: Unrealized profit and loss. "Unrealized" means the position is still open, so this reflects your paper gain or loss based on the current price, not a final result. - **Real. P&L**: Realized profit and loss. "Realized" means profit or loss that's already been locked in, such as from a partial close. - **SL** and **TP**: Your current stop-loss and take-profit levels for the position, if set. ### **Managing a Position from This Tab** From the Positions tab, you can: - **Add or adjust a stop-loss or take-profit**: Click into the SL or TP column and enter a price. Covered in more detail in a separate article. - **Close the position**: Click the X on the position's row to close it at the current market price.
